How does GFBP coaching work?
GFBP is so effective because of the independent, confidence building approach we use that it has people automatically exercising on their own.
1) We use Motivational Activity Monitors to provide you with objective feedback so that you know your workouts are really working.
These tools are a heart rate monitor and an accelerometer that act as your 7 days a week, 24 hour a day personal trainer. They are comfortable and easy to wear allowing you the versatility busy people need to be successful in sticking with their exercise programs. The feedback you get from these tools give you the personal control and confidence you are spending every minute of exercise effectively. More details on these tools, why we use them, and their effectiveness are covered during the initial consultation.
2) Specially designed fitness diaries are provided so that you can document your achievements each day and monitor your progress over time. By having you document your goals and your daily progress, you have the control over your results. This diary is emailed/faxed weekly to your Coach for review and evaluation. These diaries are vital to your 20 minute weekly coaching session.
3) You will never again be alone in your fitness journey. You will have access to your GFBP Coach every day by phone, fax or email should any questions or concerns arise throughout the week. Kristy is a GFBP Coach with over 5 years experience in the fitness industry and therefore you can be assured of receiving expert advice and guidance on your fitness journey. In addition, she has gone through an intensive 12-week training program to become a Fitness by Phone® Coach. Not only does she have the fitness expertise, but she is also a Pastor’s wife who is passionate about assisting other Christian ladies in taking care of their bodies, which the Bible says is the Temple of God (1 Cor 3:16 & 1 Cor 6:19).
In addition to your 7 days a week access to your Coach, you will have a weekly, scheduled 20-minute phone appointment so that you are accountable to someone other than yourself for your exercise. The purpose of the 20-minute phone call is to get specific focus, direction, and new progressive goals each week so that you continue to get new results. At your phone session, your coach will have already received your emailed/faxed diary the night before your phone session and will have reviewed and evaluated your achievements from the previous week. In addition, your coach will have come up with new goals for your next week.
